1 1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 c. all -purpose flour
3 t. baking powder
1 4/ t salt
3/4 c. milk
1 t. vanilla
Cream together sugar and shortening until fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Add dry ingredients alternately with milk. Begin and end with dry ingredients. Beat in vanilla Pour into 2 8" round cake pans that have been greased and dusted with flour. Bake 30 minutes at 350*. After 10 minutes, remove from pan. Cool before decorating.
Baby Travis helped me decorate this cake and I think he said it twas Lambchop.
Sprinkle baking soda on burnt pots and pans, just enough water to make a paste, let stand several hours and the burnt goo just pulls off.
Egg white removes chewing gum.
If you drop an egg on the floor, cover it with salt and it picks right up.
