Country Steak

August


1 1/2 lb. round steak
2 T. shortening
1 can condensed cheddar cheese soup
1/2 c. water
1 c. onions, chopped


Tenderize steak and cut into chunks. In a skillet, brown meat in shortening, pour off fat. Stir in soup, water and onion. Cover and simmer for 1 hour on low. Stir often. Serves 6
