Late Night Tangy Flank Steak

August 23, 1990


2/3 c. catsup
1/3 c. water
1/4 c. lemon juice
1 t. celery seeds
1 t. Worcestershire sauce
1 bay leaf
1/2 t, coarse black pepper
1/4 t. basil
1 flank steak, scored, about 1 1/2 lbs.

Place steak in a shallow baking dish. Mix remaining ingredients and pour over meat. Marinate over night or all day. Warm slightly before placing over hot coals 4" from heat. Broil both sides until desired doneness. Meat will be pink inside. Serves 6

After the heat subsided, some neighbors stopped by and I got  this going while we watched "Nick At Night".


We do not have to choose our favorite among the seasons. It is only necessary to rejoice in the beauty of their differences...Unknown
