Brown Sugar Butterscotch

July 2, 1992


2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. light corn syrup
1/3 c. oleo
2 T. water
2 T. white vinegar

In a 2 qt. saucepan, mix ingredients and cook over medium heat to hard crack stage. Stir occasionally. Remove from heat and let stand 60 seconds. Pour into an 8" buttered pan. Score top into serving size pieces/ Cool 20 minutes and turn onto buttered foil. Break with a spoon when candy hardens. Makes 1 1/4 lbs.
